Tinted sunglasses from Corlin

Tinted sunglasses have pigmented or dyed lenses that reduce the brightness and light energy reaching your eyes, a bit like a dimmer switch for the world around you. The color of the tint also changes how everything looks, from cool blue and green to warm cinnamon and yellow.

This collection gathers our colored tints: blue, green, cinnamon, yellow and pink lenses, gradient lenses that fade from dark to light, and see-through tints. Classic black and brown lenses have their own collections. You can also browse all sunglasses.

Tinted sunglasses by lens color

Which tint color should you choose?

Blue and green tints give a cooler picture, while cinnamon and yellow make everything look warmer. Green keeps colors fairly natural, blue is the most striking against a black frame, and cinnamon pairs naturally with tortoise and gold. If you want a softer look, choose a gradient or see-through tint.

What are gradient sunglasses?

Gradient sunglasses have lenses that are darkest at the top and fade towards light at the bottom. The top of the lens takes the sun from above, while the lighter lower part lets you see clearly downwards, to a dashboard, a phone or a menu. That makes gradient lenses practical for driving and for days spent moving between sun and shade. They also show more of your eyes, which gives a softer, more elegant look than a solid lens.

Our gradient sunglasses include Bernard, a sculptural aviator in thick bio-acetate with black or brown gradient lenses, or blue gradient lenses in a brown front, Todd, a round frame in pale champagne with brown gradient lenses, West, a champagne rectangle, and Kyle, a lightweight white aviator.

See-through tinted lenses

Carpi and Gelo have transparent green or cinnamon tints rather than solid ones, so your eyes stay visible behind the lens.

Are tinted sunglasses dark enough for bright sun?

It depends on the tint. Lighter, gradient and see-through tints let more light through and are more about the look than about strong sun at the beach or in the mountains. For the brightest days, a solid dark lens is the safer choice, such as in our black sunglasses and brown sunglasses.

Tinted sunglasses for men and women
