Bernard Black Gradual Black

Bernard Black Gradual Black is the aviator in its most graphic form: a thick black bio-acetate front with black gradient lenses, darkest along the top edge and clearing towards the bottom.

The silhouette is rounded rather than angular, and the front is deep at 45 mm of lens height, one of the tallest we make. Corlin's C sits at the temple tip. Designed in Stockholm.

Oversized fit, 54 mm lens width. The CR39 lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB rays. Supplied with a faux-leather case and a carton box.

Are the lenses polarised?
No. Bernard has CR39 lenses with a black gradient and UV400 protection, which blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays.

Which face shapes does Bernard suit?
Oversized is our largest fit, so Bernard needs a medium to larger face to sit correctly. The rounded aviator softens angular features.

What is the frame made of?
Bio-acetate, a plant-based acetate. Bernard is cut thicker than our other frames, which gives the front its sculptural depth.
