Sunglasses

Sunglasses from Corlin, designed in our studio in Stockholm. Oval, round, square, cat-eye, aviator and shield frames in Italian acetate and stainless steel, with free shipping and 30-day returns.

Sunglasses designed in Stockholm

Corlin is a Swedish eyewear brand, founded in Stockholm in 2017. All our sunglasses are designed in our Stockholm studio, and most frames are cut from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate with German OBE hinges and CR39 lenses with UV400 protection. The range covers oval, round, square, rectangle, cat-eye, aviator and shield shapes, in slim, medium and oversized fits. Shipping is free and you have 30 days to return. New to Corlin? Sunglasses by shape

If you already know the size you want, go straight to oversized sunglasses or slim sunglasses. For clean lines and thin frames, see minimalist sunglasses.

Which sunglasses suit my face shape?

The simplest rule is contrast: choose a frame shape that is the opposite of your face shape. Round faces usually look most balanced in angular frames such as square, rectangle or cat-eye. Square faces are softened by oval and round frames. Oval faces suit most shapes, which leaves the choice to taste and size. Long faces need deeper lenses that cover more of the face, while heart-shaped and diamond-shaped faces suit frames that are lighter at the top, such as ovals and aviators.

Our guide to sunglasses for your face shape goes through every face shape, with recommended models and measurements. There are also separate guides for round faces, oval faces, square faces, heart-shaped faces, long faces and diamond-shaped faces.

What size sunglasses do I need?

Corlin sunglasses come in three fits: slim, medium and oversized. Medium is our standard fit. Slim frames suit small to medium faces, and oversized frames suit wider faces or anyone who wants more coverage. The easiest way to check the size is to compare the lens width of a pair you already own, which is usually printed on the inside of the temple, with the lens width in our product descriptions.

Oversized frames are not the right choice for everyone. If your current sunglasses slide down your nose or sit wider than your face, start with a slim fit. Read more in how should sunglasses fit, or see our guides to sunglasses for small faces and sunglasses for big heads and wide faces.

What are Corlin sunglasses made of?

Most Corlin sunglasses are made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate. Acetate is made from cellulose, a plant fiber. It is cut and polished rather than molded, and the color and pattern run through the whole material instead of sitting on the surface. These frames have German OBE hinges. Modena and Monza are made from bio-acetate with 3:2 metal hinges, and our metal frames, such as Luc, are made from stainless steel.

Do Corlin sunglasses have UV400 protection?

Yes. Our acetate sunglasses have CR39 lenses with UV400 protection, which blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays. The lens color changes how the world looks through the lens, not how much UV it blocks. Tempo, our sport shield, is the exception: we do not currently publish a UV400 specification for Tempo, so check the product page if a verified UV rating matters for how you will use it.

Which lens color should I choose?

Black lenses keep colors closest to how they really look and are the most neutral choice. Brown lenses add warmth and contrast, which many people find easier on the eyes on bright days. Green lenses sit between the two and are a classic for a reason. Lighter tints such as cinnamon, blue or yellow are mostly a style choice, so for very bright conditions a darker lens is the safer pick.

Compare them in our sunglasses lens color guide, or shop by color: black sunglasses, brown sunglasses, tortoise sunglasses, green sunglasses, blue lens sunglasses, cinnamon sunglasses and tinted sunglasses.

Sunglasses for men and women

Most Corlin sunglasses are unisex. Shape, size and color decide how a frame looks, not who it was made for. You can still browse men's sunglasses and women's sunglasses, or read more about unisex sunglasses.

Can I return sunglasses from Corlin?

Yes. Shipping is free, and you have 30 days to return your sunglasses, so you can order two pairs and compare them at home. Most frames come with a faux leather case and a carton box.
