Single vision glasses have one and the same power across the whole lens. The lenses are made for one distance, for example far away, reading or the computer. Who are single vision glasses for?
Single vision glasses suit you if you need help at one distance. That covers most people who are nearsighted, farsighted or have astigmatism, which is why they are the most common type of glasses.
If you are nearsighted, you see blurry far away, and the lenses have a minus power. If you are farsighted, seeing takes effort, usually up close, and the lenses have a plus power. If you have astigmatism, it is corrected with a cylinder in the same lens.
If you need help both far and near, which becomes common from around 40 to 45, you can choose two pairs of single vision glasses or progressive glasses.

What is the difference between single vision and progressive lenses?

Single vision lenses also fit most frames, since the lenses do not need a certain height for different powers. So you can choose your frame for style.

Prescription glasses are made to your prescription and cannot be returned. If you are unsure about the fit, order the Blue Light version of the frame first, which can be returned within 30 days.
