Glasses for a Square Face
If you have a square face, round and oval frames soften the straight lines of the forehead and jaw. Here you can see which shapes tend to suit you, which to avoid and which of our frames are a good choice: Todd, Kim and Selma, and in metal Celia and Victoria.

Which glasses suit a square face?
Round and oval glasses usually suit a square face best. Soft lines contrast with a broad forehead and an angular jaw, and make the face look softer and more balanced. Avoid frames with sharp corners that emphasize the jawline. At Corlin, Todd, Kim and Selma are especially good choices, from 1,299 SEK. See frames for a square face

Square faces are often wide, so look at the total width. The frame should be about as wide as your face.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Todd | Round, acetate | 49 mm | 42 mm | 145 mm | Wide faces |
| Victoria | Circular, steel | 56 mm | 56 mm | 142 mm | Medium to wide faces |
| Kim | Large round, acetate | 53 mm | 46 mm | 140 mm | Medium to wide faces |

Which glasses should you avoid with a square face?
Angular frames with sharp corners reinforce the straight lines of the face instead of balancing them. This is especially true of low, wide rectangular frames and square wayfarers.
That does not mean angular glasses are off limits. If you like straight lines, a frame with slightly rounded corners can be a compromise.
Which size suits a square face?
A square face is often wide, across both the forehead and the jaw. The frame should be about as wide as your face, otherwise the jaw can look wider.
Todd is the widest at 145 millimeters in total, and Victoria and Kim are 140 to 142 millimeters. Selma and Celia are narrower and suit you better if your face is square but smaller.
Can I get the glasses with prescription?
Yes. All the frames on this page can be ordered with lenses made to your prescription. You choose the lens type and enter your values when you order.
Good to know
A complete pair with prescription costs from 2,194 SEK, or from 2,394 SEK with Selma. Want to see more soft frames? Read more about round glasses and oval glasses.
