Frederic Tortoise Brown

Frederic Tortoise Brown puts the same angular aviator front in a warm tortoise acetate with brown lenses. The geometry is the point: straight edges where an aviator usually curves.

The material is Mazzucchelli acetate from Italy and the hinges are German OBE. The CR39 lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB rays. Designed in Stockholm.

Medium fit, with a narrow 13.5 mm bridge and a deep 38.5 mm lens. Supplied with a faux-leather case and a carton box.

Are the lenses polarised?
No. Frederic has brown-tinted CR39 lenses with UV400 protection, which blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays.

Which face shapes does Frederic suit?
Medium is our standard fit, so Frederic works on most faces. The angular front adds definition, which reads well on round and oval profiles. The 13.5 mm bridge is narrow, so it suits a narrower nose.

Can the fit be adjusted?
Yes. Warm the temples in warm water for 10-20 seconds, bend them gently inwards or outwards, and let them cool to hold the new shape.
