Alex Tortoise Brown

Alex Tortoise Brown is a square frame with thin rims, cut from Mazzucchelli acetate in a warm tortoise pattern. The corners are squared off, but the front curves gently to follow the face.

The hinges are German OBE and the brown CR39 lenses carry UV400 protection against 100% of UVA and UVB rays. Designed in Stockholm.

The lens is 54 mm wide and 41 mm deep, which places Alex among our larger frames. Medium is our standard fit. A faux-leather case and a carton box are included.

Are the lenses polarised?
No. Alex has brown-tinted CR39 lenses with UV400 protection, which blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays.

Which face shapes does Alex suit?
Medium is our standard fit, so Alex works on most faces. The squared front adds definition, which reads well on round and oval profiles.

Can the fit be adjusted?
Yes. Warm the temples in warm water for 10-20 seconds, bend them gently inwards or outwards, and let them cool to hold the new shape.
